RESOLUTION FORMULATING GUIDELINES
FOR THE SELECTION OF GRANTEES
OF THE NEW MUNICIPAL SCHOLARSHIP
PROGRAM OF ROSALES, PANGASINAN
THE GUIDELINES FOR THE SELECTION OF
SCHOLARS SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The program shall be open to all qualified bonafide residents of the municipality;
2. Applicant must be of good moral character.
3.Preferential treatment shall be afforded to applicants with disabilities waiving any academic standard requirement.
4.The academic performance of applicants shall be given more concern than economic qualification/disqualification although qualifiers belonging to well-off families are encouraged to waive their entitlement in favor of the less-privileged ones. Waivers shall be recorded in the Book of the Scholarship Program and properly acknowledged by the program administrators;
5.A high school graduate with a general average of not lower than 80 with no failing grade in any subject can avail of full scholarship;
6.High school valedictorians and salutatorians from any of the high schools of Rosales shall automatically qualify as full beneficiary provided that they comply with the other requirements.
7. Grantees shall maintain a passing grade in all his/her subjects to be entitled to the scholarship program for the succeeding semester/trimester provided that he/she be enrolled/took up no less than the regular number of units from his/her course for the semester/trimester;
8.Grantees who shall make it to the Dean’s List or as an honor student may, however, be extended additional financial benefits depending upon the availability of budget/funds. In addition, appropriate recognition shall be extended by the LGU/Sangguniang Bayan for such an achievement which shall likewise be correspondingly entered in the Book of the program;
9.The Punong Barangay or any of the barangay council officials shall report to the Municipal Screening Committee if any scholar within their jurisdiction has stopped going to school for whatever reason.
10. The Municipal Screening Committee may devise and administer academic examinations to ensure that only those academically qualified may avail of the program.
11. If the number of qualifiers be more than what the funds can accommodate, the principle of “first come, first served” shall apply. Thus the date and time of submission of requirements be duly recorded by the MSC Secretary.
12. The full availment of the program shall be FIVE THOUSAND PESOS (P5,000.00). The amount may be increased subject to the availability of funds upon the approval of the LGU.

` RESOLVED,
FURTHER; that the New Scholarship Program shall be available for the following:
1.
Baccalaureate degree
2.
Diploma - ( Associate, 1 to 3 years)
3.
Certificate – short term technical
courses – 6 months to one year
Note:
the availment for N0. 1 and 2 shall be on a per semester/trimester basis.
