Dengue outbreak started in Barangay Cabalaoangan Norte and spread to various barangays adjacent to it, with scores of children, who are more vulnerable to the disease, were brought to various hospital and clinics for treatment.
The outbreak incidence prompted the honorable Mayor Susan Pagador – Casareno to notify all the punong barangays to a meeting tomorrow, July 23, 2013 to map out preventive measures, both proactive and reactive prevention strategies to be able to stamp out the disease.
Meanwhile, the barangay captains of the affected areas have been busy cleaning their respective jurisdiction, removing the dengue carrying mosquito’s breeding lairs, mostly in abandoned compounds or premises. They have conducted fogging and misting spray mixed with proven insecticides effectively killing and driving away mosquitoes.
