Rosales Municipal Infirmary Unit to undergo renovation

True to the substance of her campaign platform to implement her Ten-Point Agenda, one of which is the promotion of health care services, Rosales Mayor Susan Pagador-Casareno has started renovation work on the dilapidating Rosales Municipal Infirmary Unit.

The shabby and neglected infirmary has caught the attention of Mayor Casareno and without much ado, has sought funding allocation from the Municipal coffer to bankroll the repair project.

Lined-up for all-over repair and refurbishing inside the infirmary are the following: Emergency Room – for additional dividing walls, lavatory and water closet installation; Ward – for additional comfort room; Scrub Room – for lavatory and faucet installation; and creation of a Nursery to be converted from the former Rural Sanitary Inspector’s Office.

For the Infirmary’s outside works include the Waiting Area – for its filling and concreting; the Entrance Driveway – for concreting and widening; and, the Delivery Room – to be furnished with a private toilet, lavatory and faucet.

Really, on the matter of health services responsiveness, Mayor Susan’s not reneging on her promise to deliver the best health care to her constituents. Next in line in her priorities, to be commenced probably in the coming few months, is the establishment of a high-tech, state-of-the-art equipped Rosales Community Hospital.

Another Health Service Program soon to be realized is the “Doctor to the Barrios” program wherein medical services are brought right at the doorsteps of the barangay people, while leaving behind able health personnel at the Rural Health Unit to attend to walk-in patients.

The good Mayor had promised that medicines shall at all times be available at the Municipal Health Center by prioritizing the increase of funding for medicines to a million pesos more from the present two million pesos. This will soon be realized under her administration that really cares for the welfare of the townspeople.

And healthcare, though it reflects or represents just a fraction of the Mayor’s Ten-Point Agenda, nevertheless it forms a very significant integral part of her over-all Social Contract with the People that cannot be compromised.
